I’m a modern-day renaissance man. That’s both a curse and a blessing. So many things to do and so little time to get it done. But my motto is that life is all about choices, so I’m choosing to follow the long road to my dream life.

I love working with wood, creating beautiful boxes and cabinets. I’m also handy with a welding machine, so when something needs to be made with metal or repaired, I’m doing that too. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. We live on a 160-acre homestead in the middle of the woods, so there’s never a shortage of things needing doing.

At the moment of this post, I’m building our energy independence for the workshop and the house. That’s going to take a bit of time, and it involves a lot of planning and welding. After that there’s a monolithic dome to build.

In the meantime I do creative little projects here and there, mostly for the wife. But eventually I’ll get to the fun part of making art from wood.

Until then, I’ll post pics of what we’re doing with the solar array for now.
